Jesus Took On Human Flesh

John’s Gospel is a key source that clarifies Jesus’ preexistence and his transition to an earthly body.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Jesus’ origins are presented in both Luke and Matthew.

“The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.” (Matthew 1:1)

” And Mary said to the angel, ‘How can this be since I am a virgin?'” And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called “holy – the Son of God.”(Luke 1:34-35)

Matthew connects with the virgin birth prophesized by Isaiah in the Old Testament.

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name ‘Immanuel.'” (Matthew 1:23).

“Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign. Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)

Scripture attests to Jesus’ virgin birth and His origins. It also ties the Old and New Testaments together with this miraculous event.
