Theology

This site has presented Scripture demonstrating the grand sweep of God’s historical and future actions, beginning with Creation, the Fall, the Story of Israel, the Cross, and Resurrection, and concluding with the good news that our Lord and Savior would one day return.

“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,’ Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.” He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3-4)

As we ponder Scripture and develop a biblical theology, we can see that the Gospel is not only about an individual making a decision. Although that is an essential part of it, the Gospel is also about what God has accomplished and is accomplishing through Jesus Christ. The Gospel and biblical narrative lay a plotline, allowing us to see where we are today in this grand narrative. The Gospel not only prepares us for eternity; it demonstrates to us how we should live our lives today.

This is the Good News, for which God gets the glory!
